While walking along the South Bay coastline in Los Angeles, I became fascinated by the quiet connection between dogs and their people. Strangers passing by, morning walks, windswept hair, tangled leashes, spontaneous moments of affection — each encounter felt deeply personal and unexpectedly cinematic.

This project is a collection of candid portraits created during those walks through Redondo Beach, Torrance, and nearby coastal neighborhoods. I approached people I met along the way and photographed them together with their dogs exactly as they were — natural, unposed, and connected.

“Dogs & Their Humans” is an ongoing documentary-style photography project created in South Bay Los Angeles.
